Ingredients:	Granny Smith apples 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup water Cinnamon to taste Butter 1 cup self-rising flour 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening 1 egg

Directions:	Preheat oven to 300 degrees. 1. Chop enough Granny Smith apples to line pan. 2. Sprinkle over apples: 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup water, Cinnamon to taste. Dot with butter. 3. To make crust, mix 1 cup self-rising flour, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup shortening and 1 egg. Mix well and drop over apples. 4. Bake in a preheated 300 degree oven to a golden brown. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
