DAVE'S FAVORITE PEANUT BUTTER ICING

Icing
Ingredients:
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 16 oz. package confectioner's sugar
1/2 to 1 cup milk, depending on desired consistency
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, cream together peanut butter and half of the sugar. Add remaining sugar alternately with the milk.
2. Beat until smooth enough to spread. Beat in vanilla. Spread frosting on top of your favorite yellow or chocolate cake.
1956 Betty Crocker Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 cup shortening (non-trans fat like Spectrum)
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup cake flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 8-inch cake pans.
1. Cream together shortening, sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Blend in melted chocolate.
2. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the shortening mixture alternately with the buttermilk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Pour into cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes. Ice with Dave's Peanut Butter Icing.
