3 cups unpeeled apples, chopped (for best flavor use both sweet and tart apples) 2 cups raw cranberries 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 ½ cups rolled oats 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/3 cup flour 1/3 cup chopped pecans 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
1. In an eight-inch square baking pan mix apples, cranberries, and granulated sugar. Set aside.
2. In a medium bowl mix oats, brown sugar, flour, pecans, and butter. Spread evenly over the fruit.
3. Bake for 1 hour. Cut into squares and serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
