BEEF STIR FRY

Sauce and Stir Fry Recipe
Ingredients:
For the special flavoring sauce:
 
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon sesame oil

For the stir fry:

1 lb sirloin or flank steak, sliced very thin (try Teddy's organic meats from
    www.burtsbeef.com)
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon cooking wine
2 teaspoons cornstarch
4 Tablespoons vegetable oil
¾ medium onion, chopped fine
1 teaspoon fresh garlic, sliced thin
1 teaspoon fresh jalapeno pepper, chopped fine
6 green onions, chopped fine
1 zucchini, sliced thin

 
Directions:


1.  In a small bowl, mix the first four ingredients to make the special flavoring sauce.

2.  Combine the sliced beef with the soy sauce, cooking wine, and cornstarch.  Add the special flavoring sauce and stir to coat meat. Set aside.

3.  Heat a wok or large skillet, add vegetable oil. Stir fry onion, garlic, and jalapeno for about one minute.

4.  Remove vegetables from pan and add beef. Stir fry until beef is no longer pink, about 2 or 3 minutes.

5.  Add the sautéed vegetables back in with the beef, mixing and stir frying briefly.

6.  Add green onion and zucchini. Stir fry until they are just tender. Serve over cooked rice, or by itself!
